Background Screening Process

HOW DO I HIRE?

CONTACT US
We are very proud to offer our clients one of the most extensive background screenings available in the industry.

When employing someone to come into your home, it's critical to get as much background information on the candidate as possible. Many people working in the domestic field look for employment without agency assistance. Those with something to hide will likely avoid agencies because there is something negative in their personal background history.  Our agency goes one step further than most by both encouraging our clients to talk with previous employers of the candidate they are considering hiring. We also make available upon request a hard copy of our screening reports.

Interview:
All local candidates are interviewed by one of our placement consultants.  Applicants not residing in the area are interviewed by phone.

Reference Checks:
Unless there are extenuating circumstances, we verify a minimum of three references.

National Criminal History Search;
A comprehensive local and national criminal record search is completed in every participating state and county repository.

Sex Abuse Registry
Every state sex offenders registry is checked.

Local Criminal Records:
An in-person court house search is completed in the candidate's current county of residence, as well as counties he/she has resided in over the past seven years.

International Records:
Candidates who have resided outside of the US within the past seven years can usually have their criminal records researched.  If requested by client, there is an additional fee for out of country searches, if requested.

Social Security and Identity Verification:
Reveals the state and date the social security number was issued, previous residences, alias names used.

Certified ten-panel Drug Screening:
Performed by Quest Diagnostics, in the applicant's neighborhood.

Motor Vehicle Record Report:
Verifies name, address, date of birth, issue and expiration dates, driver description, driving arrests and convictions dating back a minimum of three years.

Medical:
Our agency supplies each candidate with a medical form which is completed by his/her physician.  This report shows the medical history, medications used, and a signed statement from the doctor attesting that the candidate is physically and emotionally able to accept the position accepted.  Typically the doctor will complete the form if the candidate has had an exam within two years.  If the doctor is unwilling to complete the form without a medical exam, the client and candidate must decide which party will be responsible for the bill, if the medical is a condition of employment.  The employer usually pays this bill.  The screening fee does not include an exam, only a medical form.
